I am not an architect, but I possess specialized expertise in residential wood structures. Like an architect, state law permits me to provide design services for any residential wood structure three stories or less. My background diverges from that of the architect, where I have over 35 years of direct hands-on experience in construction and hold a Class B contractor’s license. Unlike an architect (who is not required to have construction experience), I have extensive on-site construction knowledge, from foundation excavation to final finishing. This experience is reflected directly in my successful acquisition of over 850 permits for ADU's, additions, and remodels of all kinds.
Energy efficiency is not just a choice; oftentimes it is now the law. I provide design for ADU's, additions, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, and living space remodels with a focus on Energy Code compliant, Eco-friendly construction techniques and materials which decrease fossil fuel dependency, increase efficiency, and boost Home Performance.
